Design around the building and its users

Office layouts, meeting rooms and visitor access create different demands. A survey helps inform equipment placement and configuration rather than relying on a floor plan alone. For hospitality or shared premises, discuss guest access, device isolation and the spaces where people need coverage. We scope the work to the actual building and operational requirements.

Connect the physical and logical network

Cabling routes, power, switch capacity and equipment locations need to support the wireless design. Existing cabling may be reusable, but faults and undocumented connections should be understood before changes are made. We can help with network layout, cabling advice and coordination of the installation work agreed in your proposal.

Keep guest access separate and ownership clear

Visitors usually need internet access without access to internal business resources. We review whether staff, guest and other devices should use separate networks and how that affects firewall rules and administration. Record who owns the equipment, who can change it and where configuration backups are held.

Test the working experience after changes

Installation should be followed by checks in the areas people actually use: meeting spaces, workstations and other agreed locations. We review connectivity and the applications identified in the scope, document the setup and explain any remaining constraints.
